Twisted Sunburst Rainbow with Ardyth

Catherine CP Designs, CPD Ink, Encouragement, Geometric, Stenciling

Good morning! It's Ardyth and I'm excited to be here on Catherine's blog with this card using stamps dies and the stencil from the latest release.  I love this Twisted Sunburst stencil – you can use it to get so many looks – you can go subtle with a tone-on-tone background, or use versamark with embossing powder, or embossing pastes – or you can go vibrant like I did!

ARDYTHRAINBOWSTAR

I started by creating my rainbow panel with the stencil and lots of the Party Collection inks. I taped the stencil over my 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 panel and blended outward from the centre, letting it fade towards the edges a bit. I wanted to give it a 3D look and this simple method really makes it look dimensional! I moved around the circle, going back and forth between colours to make sure that I got a good blend. When I was finished, I cut the panel down to 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 and adhered it to a black mat that was cut to 4×4.

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I used midnight ink to stamp the word star before using the matching die to cut it out. I positioned it on my rainbow panel and placed the You're and A stamps where I wanted them before using my MISTI to stamp it.

I popped up the ‘star' using foam tape and stamped the smallest star several times to create some movement.

To finish my card, I glued the completed panel to a white 4 1/4 x 4/14 card base.

I hope that you're enjoying all the new products in this new release – the possibilities are really endless!
