Using Main Image Stamps for Geometric Borders – Thankful Card

Catherine CP Designs, Die Cutting, Embossing, Geometric, Halloween & Fall, Thank You

There are some genius stampers out there that can look at a stamp and think of a bunch of different ways to use it other than it's main intention.

That's not me…but I hope this video can help you look at your stamps in a slightly different way to create some fun borders and backgrounds!

The Leaf Motifs Stamp Set has fabulous patterned leaves in it and I thought, hmmmm…some of these would make a terrific border!  Let's see it in action.

I love how the triangle border turned out and this ink color combination- Sauna, Mandarin Spice, Green Tea, Eucalyptus – from our Spa Collection just creams fall and is perfect for Thank you and Thankful cards!

This Thankful die cut was dabbed onto the Sauna Ink Pad and since our inks stay wet for a few seconds, you have time to pour on Embossing Powder or Embossing Glitter.  Heat it and just like that, you have a gorgeous embossed, sparkly sentiment!

I hope you are inspired by this tutorial to take another look at your stamps.  How can your stash be used in a different way?

Love the stamping supplies used in this video tutorial? They are all linked below!  Enjoy!
