We are on Day 3 of the Counting Blessings Blog Hops!  WOW!  What incredible inspiration we've had over the past few days.

I know you all are just itching to order your collections so you can start creating cards of your own (or CASEing ours!).  We can't wait, too, because that is the Icing on the Cake…when you guys get your collections and start creating.

THAT is why we do what we do…and to see y'all's excitement over this collection makes us so happy! We work for months on these to make sure they are just right…all the products compliment each other and and take the guess work out of putting products together for you.

I just had a friend of mine put a “capsule wardrobe” together for me and you know what?  The Stamp of Approval Collections are kind of like that!  Think of it as capsule wardrobes for your card making projects for different seasons and occasions.  😉

Counting Blessings Leaf Motifs2

I'm really pumped about this card.  It's one of those times where I had an idea in mind and it came out better on the finished card than what I had in mind.  WOOOT!

View the video to see how it came together and the techniques and products used.

  • Bloomin' Bouquet Stamp Set
  • Marching Leaves Stencil
  • Tags, Etc. Die
  • Leaf Motifs Stamp Set

White Embossing Paste on White Card Stock makes a subtle, yet stunning statement.  Top it with a tag, a great greeting and some fun watercolored leaves and you've got a great hand made card to send to a friend or loved one.

Counting Blessings Leaf MotifsUsing the Direct-to-paper technique, swipe your ink pad across the card stock (be gentle when using CP Designs Foam Pads), spritz with water, dry, stamp with Midnight Ink and cut out.  What a great pop of color this adds!

What other color combinations would you use?

Counting Blessings Fallen Leaves1Seriously love the fun looks you can get with the Fallen Leaves Dies!  The DT has used them on all sorts of card making projects, but here I wanted to use them as parts of a flower.

I die cut them out of white card stock, then used the positive and negative and arranged them on this fun rainbow background in the shape of flowers.

I also used the “Thankful Die” and trimmed off the “ful”.  Love the versatility!

The products used for this card are:

  • Thankful Die
  • Autumn Blessings Stamp Set
  • Fallen Leaves Die
  • Tags, Etc. Die

Click here for our Facebook Live where we did a similar background and talked more about this card.

Counting Blessings Fallen LeavesThe same technique of Direct-to-paper and swiping the ink pad over the cardstock was used for all three cards.

On the second two, I added a TON of water, so I used watercolor card stock.  On the first card, I just spritzed on a few drops, so I used CP Designs Card stock which was able to handle that amount of water.
