Circle Shaped Card with Chrissie Tobas

Catherine CP Designs, Floral, Gallery, Projects, Techniques, Videos

Chrissie here and I am so excited to be on Catherine’s Blog today!

Shaped Card wmDuring the last Catherine Pooler Release, I created two circular shaker cards. I got quite a few requests, asking to know how they were created, so I made a video, sharing my process.

This card is not a shaker, but it can be easily modified to become a shaker, simply by adding acetate and more sequins.

I die cut the base by scoring a piece of white card stock and leaving the top portion of the circle hanging off of the card stock. I then cut a circle outline to hide the fold of the card.

I added color to the outside circle using Bellini and a foam blender. I stamped the flowers directly onto the card base and heat embossed them, then added ink (Party Dress, Pixie Dust and Melon Ice).

I created an ombre effect with Mint To Be ink and a foam blender on a piece of white cardstock and die cut it. I also die cut the same die again on black cardstock. I assembled the card and added sequins to finish everything off!

Shaped Card detail wmThanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you'll try out a Circle Shaped Card now that you see how easily it can be created.
