Modern Masked Rainbow with Kristie Goulet

Catherine CP Designs, Gallery, Projects, Techniques

Hi everyone! It's Kristie here with a guest post just for you! I am in love with Catherine's new ink colors and have yet to sponge with them, I decided that today was the day to do just that. If you follow me on my blog, you know that I love using rainbow colors on my cards. Rainbows make me happy!

I stamped and white heat embossed the Modern Damask Background Stamp onto a piece of white card stock. I used masking tape to mask off the center strip where I did my sponging.

I started at the top with It's a Girl and then went down the panel using the following inks – Bellini, Melon Ice, Garden Party, It's a Boy and Pixie Dust. Sadly, Mint to Be and Sweet Sixteen didn't make it onto my card.

I stamped the Happy from the Spot On stamp set and cut it out using the coordinating circle die. The birthday sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I trimmed down the white panel so I could attach it to a black card base and have some black peeking out the sides.

Before adhering the panel to the black card base, I added some black and white twine and popped up the sentiment using foam adhesive. Some sparkly clear sequins finish off my card for today.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my project!
