Blog Hop Day 2: Tis the Season Wreath Card and Faux Metal Accents

Winterhaven_BlogHop Judging by the comments yesterday, you all are loving the Good Stuff Stamp Set and Dies as much as I do!  I mean, a stamp set to make card layers or tags for Christmas, Thank You’s, New Year’s Eve (or even anniversary with the champagne glasses!), hostess gifts and treats as well as Valentine’s Day!  That set really packs a punch!

In case you missed it, those products I shared in yesterday’s post and video here

If you missed the first preview days, check these posts out:

All three cards today used the boughs, mistletoe, holly and berries from the Tis the Season Stamp Set.  Can you say versatile?

I love holiday cards with a fun and whimsical feel and this stamp set made it so easy!

SOA Winterhaven All is calm I stamped greenery and berries randomly with Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt and Rockin’ Red ink, then stamped the greeting from the Here We Come A-Caroling Stamp Set on vellum and adhered it to my card.

SOA Winterhaven All is calm 2 The next card has a bit more elegant feel to it.

First, I traced around one of our clear blocks with a fine pencil line, then inked the pine bough stamps with Grass Skirt and Lime Rickey and stamped around the circle creating a wreath.  I filled in with some berries and erased the pencil line.

SOA Winterhaven Joy wreath 2 For the die cut sentiment, I dipped the Joy in Versamark Ink, covered it with Gold Embossing Powder and heated.  Once the EP is melted, I let it cool, then repeated the process.

If you’d like to see this in action, view our Live Stream here.   (The stamping began at about 28:00.)  I did the same thing here with the Wreath and Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter.

Faux Metal Accent Wreath WOW that came out stunning!

I added a Gold Embossed strip of cardstock to the bottom, then adhered the wreath layer over my card front that had some fun berry branches stamped at the bottom.

SOA Winterhaven Joy wreath Here’s another simple Christmas Card using the Tis the Season Stamp Set with just the holly leaves and berries.  A simple sentiment and mat made from dragging my Rockin’ Red ink pad across the cardstock.  Viola!  MATCHING cardstock to my ink!

SOA Winterhaven Tis the Season The past few days here on the blog as well as on Facebook Live, we’ve shown you the entire Winterhaven Collection.   Just a recap, the Winterhaven Collection includes:

  • 1 Background Stamp
  • 3 Stamp sets
  • 1 Layering and tag die set
  • 1 Wreath and Sentiment die set
  • 1 Silhouette Village die set
  • Project Guide download

I love these cards. Just when I was thinking I didn’t really need anymore Chrisymas stamps except – hmm, I really need a poinsettia and I’d love a holly stamp set oh, I wonder if I can find a “joy‘ and maybe a village of some kind with a lamp post…. Hello – were you reading my mind! Just cracked me up as you started revealing the collection. I had literally been looking on-line for those things, and a couple things are sitting in shopping carts! Won’t be needing those things now! I’ve also got to tell you that you and Ingtid cracked me up on your FB live video! I was a an appointment and missed live, but as I played yesterday it made me smile! Crafting together is the best and you reminded me of my best friend in Denver. Last time we were together, we stamped till 4:30 in the morning! Too much fun! The cards you made are wonderful! I can’t wait to get my box to start having fun with this great collection! Thanks for sharing your creativity!
