We are on Day 3 of the Counting Blessings Blog Hops!  WOW!  What incredible inspiration we’ve had over the past few days.

I know you all are just itching to order your collections so you can start creating cards of your own (or CASEing ours!).  We can’t wait, too, because that is the Icing on the Cake…when you guys get your collections and start creating.

THAT is why we do what we do…and to see y’all’s excitement over this collection makes us so happy! We work for months on these to make sure they are just right…all the products compliment each other and and take the guess work out of putting products together for you.

I just had a friend of mine put a “capsule wardrobe” together for me and you know what?  The Stamp of Approval Collections are kind of like that!  Think of it as capsule wardrobes for your card making projects for different seasons and occasions.  ;)

Counting Blessings Leaf Motifs2

I’m really pumped about this card.  It’s one of those times where I had an idea in mind and it came out better on the finished card than what I had in mind.  WOOOT!

View the video to see how it came together and the techniques and products used.

  • Bloomin’ Bouquet Stamp Set
  • Marching Leaves Stencil
  • Tags, Etc. Die
  • Leaf Motifs Stamp Set

White Embossing Paste on White Card Stock makes a subtle, yet stunning statement.  Top it with a tag, a great greeting and some fun watercolored leaves and you’ve got a great hand made card to send to a friend or loved one.

Counting Blessings Leaf Motifs Using the Direct-to-paper technique, swipe your ink pad across the card stock (be gentle when using CP Designs Foam Pads), spritz with water, dry, stamp with Midnight Ink and cut out.  What a great pop of color this adds!

What other color combinations would you use?

Counting Blessings Fallen Leaves1 Seriously love the fun looks you can get with the Fallen Leaves Dies!  The DT has used them on all sorts of card making projects, but here I wanted to use them as parts of a flower.

I die cut them out of white card stock, then used the positive and negative and arranged them on this fun rainbow background in the shape of flowers.

I also used the “Thankful Die” and trimmed off the “ful”.  Love the versatility!

The products used for this card are:

  • Thankful Die
  • Autumn Blessings Stamp Set
  • Fallen Leaves Die
  • Tags, Etc. Die

Click here for our Facebook Live where we did a similar background and talked more about this card.

Counting Blessings Fallen Leaves The same technique of Direct-to-paper and swiping the ink pad over the cardstock was used for all three cards.

On the second two, I added a TON of water, so I used watercolor card stock.  On the first card, I just spritzed on a few drops, so I used CP Designs Card stock which was able to handle that amount of water.

  • Leuri Zibetti August 16, 2017, 12:39 am

I have already left a comment, but I just have to say I was so excited about this collection that even though I was at a Political Victory Party for our Local Mayor turned Congressman during the PJ Party, I kept switching screens on my Tablet from the election results to the PJ Party. I couldn’t hear a thing because of the noise, but I waited for the link and ordered as soon as the link went live (along with the two latest ink colors I had been waiting to order!). Thanks for such a great collection, I haven’t ordered one in awhile, but just couldn’t pass on this one!

I love these three cards; but am so upset & disappointed that the SOA has sold out already, so quick!! I wasn’t able to attend PJ Party last night as we had a special family function.

  • Judie Attard August 16, 2017, 5:12 pm

Wow gorgeous creations! Thank you so much for sharing!!

  • Tammi P August 16, 2017, 5:13 pm

I love this box! I feel very fortunate that I am able to budget in purchasing the SOA every quarter. I typically do not comment on the blog hop, because I hope the winner is someone who may not have that financial luxury; however, this morning was a bit crazy and when I went to purchase, it was SOLD OUT! The blog hop is my last chance at owning one of these boxes…fingers crossed…I’ve owned every one from the beginning.

  • Diane M August 16, 2017, 5:31 pm

    Another great addition!

I may have been quiet but I thoroughly enjoyed the slumber party last night… and now I’m stoked about getting my collection soon!! I thought the last collection was the best ever, but this one certain rivals it! I’m glad I saved my pennies! P.S. The cards you yourself have been making this time around have been out of this world! (Ummm, just in case that’s a Wisconsin expression, that means really great, lol!)

  • Deb August 17, 2017, 7:57 am

Love your cards and the direct to paper watercoloring. Your second card is so lovely with the rainbow colors and the use of leaf dies to make flowers. Thank you for another great SOA box…mine is on the way!
