Counting Blessings Stamp of Approval – Faux Bleaching

CountingBlesings_BlogFBComingSoon Hello my friends!  Welcome to my very favorite time of the quarter!  It’s Stamp of Approval Release time!

Can you believe this is our NINTH Collection?  Wow…when the idea came to us years ago to curate a collection of stamping products that coordinate together (not just one product, but a whole BOX of products!) we talked and talked and talked some more.  Once we decided to bite the bullet and take on this project, we had everything up in running in a few months.

Now, Stamp of Approval is kinda like a movement.  Every single quarter we get to reveal the products we spent months agonizing over (agonizing in a GOOD way!!! because we want it to be just perfect!) to you!  It’s like Christmas…for us AND for you!

You guys know I loooooooove keeping the contents of the Stamp of Approval collections a bit secretive until you open that box when it arrives on your doorstep (in Christmas morning fashion!!). I also know some of you just need to see what’s inside before you buy (I get you!).

For those of you who love a spoiler, make sure you’re watching Facebook Live (you can watch even if you don’t have a FB account!) and my blog over the next several days.  I’ll be showing lots of peeks of what you’ll find in your Counting Blessings Collection and if you watch all the videos, you will see every product that comes in this box.

OOOOH!  Except for one!

There is a teensy weensy little surprise present for you guys in this box.  Actually, there are TWO presents, but one we aren’t going to reveal until you open the box.  Sneaky, eh?

The second surprise you’ll receive in your box will be revealed on Facebook Live today at NOON.  Click here to join us!

So let’s get down to stamping and meeting three new products coming in the Counting Blessings Stamp of Approval Collection:

  • Leaf Motifs Stamp Set
  • Autumn Blessings Stamp Set
  • Tags, Etc. Dies

(I think we got a glimpse of another stamp set for the greeting, too!)

We’ll make a fun background with sponging, stamping, Faux Bleaching, and embossing.

Counting Blessings Stamp of Approval – Faux Bleaching

Begin by sponging your card stock, Watercolor Card Stock or CP Designs White Card Stock work fine for this technique.

Spray your stamp with water and stamp.  Let the water react with the ink and you’ll end up with a bleached look without using chemicals!

Stamp over the background with coordinating colors as well as white ink or Versamark.  Then cover with White Embossing Powder, tap off and heat.

Really cool look, right?

Counting Blessings Faux Bleaching

Stay tuned because I’ll be over here and on Facebook revealing the rest of the collection over the next couple of days.  SO MUCH FUN!

BLOG HOPS:  Begin Sunday and we’ll have three days of hopping.  Projects, inspiration and PRIZES.  yes, my friend, you might WIN your collection!

Still working my way through the last box and can’t wait for this one! I like both cards, think the scalloped edge of the card on the right works with the more subtle colors.

  • Sharon Nesvog August 11, 2017, 4:03 am

Hi Catherine! :) Both of these cards are beautiful, however, I think I prefer the 1st one you made (Thankful For You). I think I prefer the more subtle leaves and embossing….it seems to make the ‘Thankful’ die stand out better. Can’t wait to get my hands on this new SOA Collection!! What I’ve seen so far is absolutely brilliant!!! :)

  • Hamilton M Haley August 11, 2017, 5:21 am

I love the name of this… Count your Blessings! I think more people should do just that. Blessings are having loved ones who are happy and healthy, a roof over your head helping others, and being able to get crafty and creative. And of course so many other things. Since I’ve stated flowing people in the card crafting and stamping world I’ve been inspired by not only the talent but the good heard of those behind the art and businesses.
Excited to see this Count your Blessings line.

  • Elvira August 11, 2017, 7:50 am
