Watercolored Background with Chrissie Tobas

Hi, it’s Chrissie here today.  Spring Ink colors paired with a few pops of black make for the perfect Congrats card! The newest Catherine Pooler inks and dies were used to create this soft card.

Congrats WM No colored cardstock was used; the card base was created with Melon Ice ink and an ink blender!

To create the ombre effect, I gently added the Melon Ice ink using a blending tool. I started out with minimal ink, then kept adding layers until I felt I got the effect I wanted. For the background, I used a large brush to add Sweet Sixteen as a wash (I love using these inks as watercolors!) and then I flicked the other ink colors onto it until I felt like I had the background right.
