Watercolor and Texture Luxe Accents – Congratulations Card

Watercolor and Texture Luxe Accents 2 Last week we finished up our first Masterclass of the summer with Design Memory Craft Faber Castell!  My favorite part was the hour Live Stream we had with Jennifer and Kim (brand director of DMC).  The hour was full of fun and education, we learned a ton about some really cool products and techniques to add to our card making!

Our Masterclass isn’t quite done…some of our Classroom teachers got inspired and have created exclusive tutorials for StampNation (thank you Ingrid and Laurel!!!) and we are posting more videos this week.

Not only are StampNation Design Team and the members (I can’t believe how many projects they’ve been making and sharing lately!) inspired, but I was inspired as well!  I grabbed my Pearl Texture Luxe and added some subtle and fun detail to this Watercolored Congratulations Card.

You can get all sorts of different looks when using water and ink.  If you use colors that mix well together (like blue and yellow), you can create additional colors.

If you don’t want your inks to blend and create new colors, be sure to dry your card stock before adding an additional color.

I love the shiny, subtle look the Pearl Texture Luxe adds to this project!

Our next Masterclass is with the brilliance of Concord and 9th!  I am a bit smitten with this company!  Their designs and the owners…equally amazing.

They will be sharing exclusive tutorials with StampNation Members beginning July 17th and we’ll even have the privilege of a Live Stream event with them.  I can’t WAIT!!!!

Thanks for hanging with me today!!

Hi CP ~ Love this CAS card! The colors are beautiful and the simple added touch with the Texture Luxe adds such a nice detail. Reminds me of the KISS cards of yesteryear. Thanks for the inspiration! ~HUGS~

Awesome card, I like the little touch of texture luxe.

Love the simple cards, I would have had trouble leaving the white space as is. Were you using the rule of thirds? Any tips for not going too far with design? Thanks for the video.
