Happy Anniversary card with Lydia Evans

Hi there everyone! It’s Lydia here with you today and I’m so excited to be guesting over here on Catherine’s Blog!

I have a project for you today that shows how beautifully spring-like the CP Spring Fling inks are!

DSC00500 I started by die cutting the larger of the Merry Labels dies from white card stock. I then added a sentiment in black in the centre of this, I added the sentiment first so I knew it would be in the right place and I could then do some stamping around it.

DSC00499 I used Lovely Flowers for the floral images, it’s such a sweet set and can be used all throughout the year depending on colour choices. As I had the new Spring Fling CP ink colours I knew I had to use them for some spring florals.

I stamped the flowers in It’s A Girl, It’s A Boy and Pixie Dust and added the centres with Melon Ice. For the leaves I used Garden Party and Mint To Be.

DSC00501 I added a white card layer to my white card blank for a little more interest before adding the stamped panel with foam pads.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do hope you liked the card I shared today.

Hugs, Lydia xxx

Lydia…..this card is so pretty. I think I can case this. I’m age 72 but I’m doing pretty darn good in my stamping. I do like clean and simple cards best. I do also follow your blog and have for some time now. I really like what you create.

Hi Lydia ~ Such a simply beautiful card that could have almost any sentiment on the front. I love all that you’ve done with it. Thanks so much for sharing. ~HUGS~

Hi Lydia… LOVE your card and the new inks. Did you use a Misti (or another placement tool) to do your stamping? I just got one and am trying to learn how to line everything up.
