Catherine Pooler Ink Party Collection Release Blog Hop

newink-availablenow Today is the day!!!

It’s been one year, almost exactly, since I started working on my dream of inks a reality.

It’s been an amazing journey…mostly awesome…with a sprinkling of really hard days where I’ve either been banging my head against the wall, or a sobbing heap in the corner.

The day is finally here, you all have been so amazing and excited and the first stampers that have used our inks have given them rave reviews!  So all this goodness definitely outweighs the tough parts of bringing this gorgeous rainbow to market.

May I introduce you to the first 12 colors (plus midnight!)…the Party Collection of Ink Pads!

Much of this is covered in the video, but here is a run-down!

What is great about these inks?

  • Color coordination will be a snap!  Our first collection, the Party Collection is made up of all vibrant, saturated colors that will go together perfectly.  No more guessing which color goes with which!
  • No more splotchy images!  Two or three gentle LOVE TAPS are all you need to get full coverage on your stamp which transfers beautifully to your cardstock.
  • No more muddy, dirty stamped images when residue from a dark ink gets picked up by a light color!  (I had to show this to Randall about 15 times with different stamps and ink colors before he believed it.  #truestory)

How do CP Designs foam pads ink up clear stamps much more nicely than linen topped felt pads?? Foam transfers ink better to the stamps, and a well inked stamp produces a better quality image.

Simple as that.

Felt pads also usually end up getting a “depression” in the middle of the pad which makes it more difficult to ink stamps evenly, an issue that you will not experience with foam pads.

Foam pads release ink very easily on anything you touch, so experiment and play with them to get used to this amazing pad!  Sometimes I end up with some pretty inky fingers after stamping, but they wash up pretty well…and hey!  Inky fingers are the sign of a happy stamper!  I wear them as a badge of honor.

Catherine Pooler Designs are premium dye inks and they are all non-permanent, except for Midnight. Midnight is an archival dye ink, is permanent and is safe for watercoloring and for using alcohol ink markers.

Let’s see them up close and personal!

These inks are available in the shop now!  You can purchase the ink pad, the ink refills, the new 8 colors in a bundle, all 13 colors in a bundle, the first 5 colors of ink refills in a bundle, etc…

(Our first five inks were first available in our Foundations Box, in case you missed that!)

Hop along to the bloggers linked in our blog hop list, leave comments on each blog and on on Thursday, January 12 at 6 pm eastern, I’ll choose two winners from all the comments to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the shop!

Our amazing Design Team have been working on some pretty incredible projects using these inks.  I can’t wait for you to see what they’ve created!

How to hop:  Leave a comment on my blog letting me know which color is your favorite and what your favorite feature of these inks pads are, then click on Laurel’s name to visit her blog, leave a comment, then click the next name on the list and so on….have fun hopping!

I ordered after midnight last night (well early this morning!). I ordered the re-inkers for the ink pads from the Foundation Box and I ordered the new colors ink pads and re-inkers. • Tracy Bourdon-Thomas January 10, 2017, 10:34 am

Got a quick ? How I’ll you know if we have posted on all the blocks? Some of them require a different email address than my main one (like google) and don’t ask our names. Just curious,

  • Laura Miller January 10, 2017, 10:34 am

I think I’m a tutti fruit and aquatini kind of gal. I’m still getting used to the sponge pad – trying not to lose the detail of the stamp’s image.

  • Kim January 10, 2017, 10:34 am

Love these ink pads, got the first five in the foundations box, can’t wait to get more!!!

  • BeverlyBL January 10, 2017, 11:13 am

Rockin’ Red looks good, and I like the idea of not transferring color to my next stamped image. Congrats on Stamp Nation’s 6th birthday and your new inks.

  • Darcy (Scrap2Day2Morrow) January 10, 2017, 11:17 am

glad I ordered this morning. Cannot wait to get my hands on the Aquatina and the Flirty Fuschia for a couple of projects

  • Catherine January 10, 2017, 11:19 am

    You don’t have to!

  • Brenda January 10, 2017, 11:22 am

I’m a brand new stamper so it’s fantastic to be able to purchase a whole set of inks, that isn’t huge so not a budget breaker, they coordinate beautifully and they are able to do more than just one task. You have no idea how frustrating it’s been trying to decide on a line and which colors go together over the internet. You just took the guesswork out of the equation for me. Now, hopefully, I can grow right alongside of the party line. Whoo hoo!

  • Erm Sandberg January 10, 2017, 11:25 am

This is so exciting. It has taken card making to a new level. Have had great success with the first colors and can’t wait to get the rest of the collection.

  • Cheryl Jones January 10, 2017, 11:32 am

I just ordered all the new colors and some reinkers. My favorite color is Auqatini. Not even sure I spelled that right, but the color is great.

  • Casie W January 10, 2017, 11:43 am

My favorite color is the black — so versatile! I love that you can use the inks as traditional dye inks, for embossing and watercoloring!

  • Fran Goldberg Weinberg January 10, 2017, 11:48 am

I guess my fave color is Flirty Fushcia because of the name! I actually love ALL the party colors. What I like best about the inks is that I don’t have to guess what colors go together. You’ve made it so easy for us, Catherine. Thank you!

  • Amanda Rhodes January 10, 2017, 11:49 am

I love flirty fuschia and that you can stamp over the different inks and they don’t run. I’m looking forward to the rest of the hop! :)

  • Janet Harrington January 10, 2017, 11:58 am

Rocking Red is my favorite right now.

  • Preety January 10, 2017, 12:02 pm

Loving the new inkpads! the colors are so vibrant and fun
thanks for sharing the info. video, explained things really well :)

  • Colleen Pepper January 10, 2017, 12:05 pm

I love these inks so much, and the new colors are gorgeous. You knocked it outta the park! Thank you for working so hard to get all of us quality products.

  • Susan Wareham January 10, 2017, 12:08 pm

Would love to try your inks they look so juicy haven’t seen the lime one yet but that one could be my favorite.

  • Tammi Paolilli January 10, 2017, 12:09 pm

Rocking red. So hard to find a good true red. I love that a love tap is all you need for full coverage.

  • Lois John January 10, 2017, 12:18 pm

Since I am never able to leave a comment on Lisa Harrolle/s blog, I am leaving it here! Lisa I love all of your cards, but epecially the birthday one! I LOVE THE BORDER YOU MADE! Very original!!

  • Connie Newell January 10, 2017, 12:22 pm

Love all your new inks. But Ive loved orange and yellow all my life, so if I need to pick one i guess it would have to be the yellowy orange, Tiki Torch color. I think these will be great to use and not have to worry about not getting good coverage.

  • Sue McRae January 10, 2017, 12:31 pm

Love these vibrant and happy colors! My faves are Party Dress and Fiesta Blue and I like that there’s no ink transfer between colors. I know for some brands of ink I really have to do some hard core cleaning between ink colors.

  • Cynthia Johnson January 10, 2017, 12:35 pm

Hi Catherine! My favorite color is Party Dress and my favorite thing about it is how easy it is to stamp beautifully. I hope you will come out with a pretty light pink sometime.

  • Sandy January 10, 2017, 12:39 pm

    Best colors ever

  • Teresa Cherka January 10, 2017, 12:44 pm

I have the first 5 colors from the foundation box, my favorite colors are fiesta blue and grass skirt but I think Aquatini is a contender too . The colors and the ink consistency is like no others I have, fabulous! I am looking forward to completing my collection.

  • Jo Ann Lovell January 10, 2017, 12:49 pm

I love all the colors of these inks but I think my favorite is Something Blue and Party Dress is right up there as another favorite. Thanks, Catherine, for having this dream and sharing it with all of us. So anxious to receive all the new colors in my mail and get started creating!

  • Maryann January 10, 2017, 12:58 pm

I love all the colors, it’s hard to pick just one. I love the shape of the ink pads – easier to handle and big area for stamping. Thanks

  • MarciaC January 10, 2017, 1:04 pm

These look great! Having just begun exploring inks I’m thinking my learning curve will be less. What to buy – what to buy – darn budget keeps getting in the way when I want them all!

  • Fran W January 10, 2017, 1:06 pm

I knew you were going places when I first stumbled across your videos on Youtube 4 years ago. It has been great fun being along for the ride, and I look forward to my own fun when the rest of my rainbow arrives!! Thanks for being the best – you inspire, always.

  • Carol Hardie January 10, 2017, 1:07 pm

Without a doubt ……. I can’t wait to use Party Dress. Love the Pink!! The Fiesta Blue from the Foundation Box is a favorite as well. I do like the foam pad but my favorite part is the shape of the ink pad. Easy to hold. Can’t wait to order more and get the ink refills of course.

  • Patti Blankenship January 10, 2017, 1:07 pm

I just ordered all the new ink pads and refills as well as the refills for the Foundation colors. I believe my favorite color will be Aquatini. It’s hard to pick a favorite. I have been using the first 5 from the Foundations Box and love how easily they stamp because of the foam base. Thank you for the round block.

  • Linda Ford January 10, 2017, 1:07 pm

Great card, I love the new ink colors

  • Marla Hofrichter January 10, 2017, 1:11 pm

Purchased two Foundations boxes, one for my granddaughter for Christmas and kept one for my present. There was a learning curve to the inks, but they are FABULOUS once you get the hang. The new colors that you created are really going to bring some more fun to the “Party”. I’m so excited for my new party additions to arrive. Thank you Catherine!

  • Michelle Uhlenhake January 10, 2017, 1:18 pm

Of course i needed all the colors. Thanks SO much for the free gift for stamp nation members!

  • Barbara S January 10, 2017, 1:21 pm

I really like all the colors (I only have the foundation ones at the moment. I think Orange Twist is my favorite out of the originals. I’ve been looking for a good orange for a while and this fits the bill.

  • KatieP January 10, 2017, 1:49 pm

The colors go great together! Love your creativity.

  • Tracy January 10, 2017, 1:59 pm

Awesome, congrats on surviving the journey, it looks like it was worth it these colors are fantastic, can’t wait to try them.

  • Jeanne January 10, 2017, 2:01 pm

I love the color “something borrowed something blue,” even though I named it “electric blue.” All the colors are gorgeous. When my inks are low, I will order them.

  • Carolyn Servais January 10, 2017, 2:02 pm

I am really looking forward to trying out these ink pads. I have so many that are older than the hills and dried out. Need some new blood in my collection and hope that these will do the trick. Yes, I ordered some.
