Masking and Using Sentiments for Creating Backgrounds

Masking and Background Stamping with Sentiments2 copy I’m still working on those thank you cards (see more HERE HERE HERE) and using sentiments for backgrounds.  I have a couple more ideas up my sleeve…are you interested in seeing more?

In this video tutorial, I pair making backgrounds with sentiments with the masking technique for a fun look.

Masking and Using Sentiments for Creating Backgrounds

Any piece of computer paper will work for making a mask.  Just die cut through the center to make a frame, add Two Way Glue around the edge, let it dry and it becomes a temporary adhesive.

Center it on your card layer and do your stamping and sponging to create a masked background.   I stamped the flowers inside the mask, but stamped the sentiment outside the mask to create more interest on this card.

I couldn’t stop using this technique once I finished this card…are you surprised?  A video showing all these cards is up on StampNation now!  (this is the 551st exclusive video I’ve posted on SN!)

Here’s a peek!
