plaid 5 Plaid Backgrounds with Copic Markers

StampNation Dream Team Member, Kristie Goulet, did an awesome trends article this month on Plaid.  I was so inspired that I started plaid-in’ it up in my stamp room!

I am tickled with how these came out!  The colors, the mix of plaid and flowers and sentiments.

plaid 2 With a technique piece like this, you can use just a bit like this in a cut out heart.

Plaid Or use more like this full heart card!

plaid 4 I love the dainty background and mix of colors on this card which made a fun backdrop for the cut out frame and layered heart, tags and flower.

plaid 3 All of the stamps and dies on this card (other than the flower set by Clearly Besotted and the Heart from SU) are from previous Stamp of Approval boxes.  The tag die is now available in the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps store and the rest of the goodies will be available later this spring.

I love that I can use the SOA goodies and mix and match them with so many other products in my stash.  They really are staple products that make everything else shine!

Our next Collection will be available in April.  Historically, these SOA boxes sell out quickly, so be sure you are signed up to the wait list to be the first to know when it goes on sale!

Just love this plaid going to definitely try this with my SOA kits. Just wish I would have seen your utube video in time to get the first box. I have the other two and love them.

Definitely going to try this. I love plaid too. I wore plaid every day to school, school uniform in the sixties. You would think I would hate it. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.

No Copics here. :( I will try the technique though. Maybe with my Zigs.

Is there a way I could see the products that were included in the last two Stamp of Approval boxes. I have purchased the last two and only missed the first one. I keep seeing products pictured or videos including some that I don’t think I got. One of them was in this video and it said they were Journal Card Dies. I don’t think I got that in my box. Also the giveaway picture on Kathy Racoosin’s blog shows Stamp of Approval products that I do not recognize. I tried to find lists of the products because I would recognize them and know that I got everything but I can’t find any lists.

Hi CP ~ These cards are gorgeous and I truly love this technique but I’m not a Copic owner. I’ve tried some on a temporary basis and I found that that kind of coloring just wasn’t for me. I love all kinds of other coloring but never seemed to quite get the knack for it. I have, however, made my own plaid paper and saved a few for a “rainy day” or when an idea hit. BAM!!! You hit me over the head!! Thanks. Off to create with my SOA stamps; please keep them coming, I LOVE the sets and, thank goodness, have them all!! ~HUGS~
