SOA_YoungAtHeart_blogsized SOA Young at Heart Release Week #3:  Crooky Cake!

Welcome to Day #3 of Release Week for the SOA Young at Heart Collection!  If you missed the first two days, click here for Day #1.  Click here for Day #2.  If you watch all three videos, you’ll see all the items that are in the collection, other than that special party favor that I picked up for you at the last minute!  That will remain a surprise!

Today, I’m sharing with you what I affectionately call the “Crooky Cake” stamps and dies.  StampNation Members will see where the inspiration for this stamp set came from on Wednesday with our weekly challenge.  Can’t wait!

The products shown in this video:

  • Young at Heart Stamp Set
  • Bring on the Cake Stamp Set
  • Birthday Journal Card Die
  • Harleen Stencil

SOA Crooky Cake 7 When I first got this stamp set inky, I made a Clean and Simple card…fun, bright colors and stamping from Ring in the Celebration behind it.

SOA Crooky Cake 6 As I played with the cake, I used the solid stamps and the pattern stamps (which make my heart go pitter patter!) and added more accessory stamps and a frame from the Birthday Journal Card Dies that go with this collection.

SOA Crooky Cake 5

SOA Crooky Cake 4 On this one, I added black and white stenciling (this makes my heart go pitter patter, too!), turned the stitched die sideways and added some streamers.  This collection offers three different streamer stamps – LOTS of great options!

SOA crooky cake 3 This sentiment makes me giggle…I can think of a few friends to send this card to!

SOA Crooky Cake 2 I used the same layering idea with the frame on this card and it adds a tun of fun to this stenciled background.

SOA Crooky Cake Goodness gracious!  I had a BALL making thse cards.

Now let’s see what the Dream Team has in store for you today!

Remember, all these projects (and the DT projects – along with step-by-step instructions on how to make them) have been compiled in a downloadable PDF Project Guide for those that purchase the collection.

You won’t need another birthday stamp set for a loooong time – and you’ll have all the ideas to CASE or to inspire your own creations!
