Double Stenciling with Embossing Paste

I have Maureen up today with a special Guest Post.  I’m head over heels for her card, I know you will be, too!  Take it away, Mo!

We are a week into the Creative Stencils & Mediums class and we’ve only made a small dent in all of the techniques we have planned.  Members are absolutly blowing us away with their creations!  It’s hard to not be inspired by all of this stenciling, so I decided to get out my stencils once again and create a card using the Double Stenciling technique.

There are several ways to do this technique.  We showed two on StampNation.  On this card, I use a third technique.  Here I stenciled first with Distress Inks and then, using a different stencil, I went over it with Embossing Paste.  The result is amazing.

My color choice was inspired by Catherine’s new favorite…Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves.  I don’t have Seedless Preserves, so I substituted Dusty Concord into the mix.  This is a combination I never would have come up with on my own.  I love how inspiring my StampNation sistahs are!

And, if you are wondering about the products I used on my card…you are seeing LOTS of sneak peeks of the Stamp of Approval Young at Heart collection!  So exciting!

This card is so beautiful. It’s one of those that you look at and think “how in the world did she do that?”. Great stenciling techniques Maureen!
