I can’t believe I only did one Periscope while I was at CHA last week! WHAT!? It was on one of the products that everyone was talking about – the – well, of course now I can’t remember the name of it – but it’s a pen by Thermo-web.
You draw with it then foil it by running it through a laminator or…get this…your BIG SHOT! The pressure from running it through the Big Shot is enough to get that foil to adhere to the sticky from the pen. Be still my heart! Yes, I’ll be getting that pen, and the toner sheets and the adhesive so I can show you the ins and outs of foiling withOUT a laminator.
I’m all for getting a laminator and foiling your heart out if you so desire…but for now, I just don’t want another machine in my craft room. So I’m PUMPED to get my hands on these new products!
Let’s take a tour of the photos here…first up is foiled snowflakes from Thermo-web.
Next is Heidi Swapp. The Marquee Love line of letters and now tons of different icon images is still super popular. Now she adds light boxes! How fun is this for funky decor and kids’ rooms?
Next we have Iliana, the genius behind our new beloved tool, the MISTI. There are two new sizes of the MISIT, Mini and Memory (12 x 12!) and these products won the Hot Product award for the paper crafting category this year. SO excited for Iliana! She’s made a difference for so many crafters around the globe.
Last was My Mind’s Eye booth – lots of PARTY stuff. Fans and tassles and pom poms. Totally cute and super festive. There was also a lot of GOLD there.
Speaking of Gold…the metallics trend is still going strong. Metallics all over the place. I was particularly loving these clear sheets with patterns in black and metallics. What would YOU do with these?
Organization and planning is a big time theme and planners, planner stamps and clipboards were popular.
I also saw lots of wooden embellishements and layering stamps are all over the place.
Probably my most favorite part was the people. There are some amazing women (and MEN, too!) in the paper crafting world. I know so many of them from online, but it’s not often that you actually get to hug their necks in PERSON! So this might just be my very favorite part of CHA.
