Some of us are gifted colorists.

Some of us work really hard at it for a long time and get pretty good at it.

Some of us try really hard and get by.

Some of us don’t try and go for bold images and sentiments or techniques that don’t require coloring for line art images.

I think I fall in the third category.  But today’s technique is great for all sorts of colorists and really requires no skill!

Grab a line art stamp, some ink, Q-tips and you are ready to go!

CC day 4

You may have heard me say before that for a full 18 months when I began stamping, I CASEd every card I saw.  And truly, today, every card that I make is a CASE in one form or another.  Inspiration comes from somewhere and ideas are not “new”, but thoughts and concepts that are changed and tweaked and expanded upon along the way, right?

I hear from you all time and time again that you have trouble CASEing cards, so we thought that would be the perfect “subject” of our holiday class for 2015.   It’s a different concept, and something we’ve not tried before.  So far, it’s going GREAT!  The members are really inspired and gaining new ideas and ways to look at the stamps they already have and make them new again.

They’ve added a ton of cards to the forum threads and it’s an inspiration fiesta over there!

Today is Day #4 and Heather is going to CASE my card and come up with something completely new.  Can’t wait for you to see it!

Catherine, I love this card! The gold ink adds the perfect amount of pizazz to the flowers and border. Who would think you could color with Q-tips! I love the GinaK products. The heavyweight cardstock is my favorite!
