15 Minute Challenge with Masking and Sponging!

Double Stenciling Technique 2

Maureen visited me last week during StampNation’s Virtual Retreat.  We originally planned to do three days of stamping, but life had other plans for us!

We had a photo shoot for some upcoming promotions and even filmed a video (like a professional one!).  I can not WAIT to see how the video came out and to share it with you…but first, we have this ever-so homemade video to share with you of our stamping time.

I issued a challenge to Maureen to make a card in less that 15 minutes using Masking and Sponging.  View the video to see our stamping journey!

What do you think of this Double Stencil Technique?  It’s almost like double vision, right?  I can’t wait to try this out again with other stencils and colors.

Double Stenciling Technique 3-1

Here’s Maureen’s card.  Masked and sponged, and stamped inside and outside the stencil.

I hope you will take these ideas and run with them!  Lots of different ways you can use these great techniques.

Before I go….Mo and I after the photo shoot…tired but happy.

Awesome challenge ladies, you’re both winners!! Both cards are wonderful. Catherine, you won the time challenge, but I like Maureen’s card the most – just something about black silhouettes against a gorgeous sky. I aspire to your level of creativity and expertise, but sigh…. a ways to go yet…
Thanks for a great glimpse into your time together and it was nice to see the “guest” in the background:)

Loved watching you girls concentrate on making your cards in record time. Both cards are great. I am not sure if I could come up with such great ideas in such a short amount of time. WELL DONE!!!!

This challenge was fun to watch:) You both did a great job. Even though, I like both cards, I think, I have all the supplies that Maureen used to create her card and I am all charged up to go find everything and try it. I really liked the colors that Maureen used as well. Thanks for sharing:)
