Virtual Retreat Collage Only SIX more days until we kick off our Virtual Retreat at StampNation!  Are your bags packed?

Join us for a week long celebration with new challenges and videos every single day.

All of the festivities will be themed around things you do and see at a stamping retreat.  Buckle up, my friend!  We are going to have a BALL!  I can’t WAIT!

The Dream Team is knocking my socks off with the projects they are creating for this event (I know!  What else is new???).

You will be so inspired, the dishes won’t get done, dust bunnies are going to collect and laundry is going to pile up.

Who needs a clean house anyways, when there is stamping to do!

If you aren’t a member yet, I invite you to join us!  Click here to learn more.

Today’s project is very different….I have a special guest artist for you today.  Her video tutorial will teach you:

Watercoloring with Distress Markers

I hope you love this guest as much as I do!!!  (that might be impossible, but I think you will like her!  ;)

I think Eva did a pretty good job on this card!

She used my Distress Markers to color her stamp, spritzed it with water and stamped it on Bazzill Marshmallow Cardstock (you can also use Watercolor Cardstock).

At first, your card may look a bit like a mess, but let it dry and you have a watercolored masterpiece.

Add a sentiment strip, a glittery butterfly and you’ve got a simple card!  Try different background stamps and colors to get different looks.

Eva, excellent presentation, stunning card and you have made it all so simple! Well done! When are you going to hijack mum’s you tube account again? LOL!

  • Molly June 7, 2015, 1:20 am

I loved Eva’s video. She is very clear with her instructions. She made me feel like I could do this, even though I have never tried anything like a water color technique. Is it important that distressed markers are used instead of just SU markers?

  • Catherine June 7, 2015, 10:56 am

Thank you all for encouraging Eva!
Molly, you can use any water based markers for this technique! SU markers will work just fine!

  • Connie Haney June 7, 2015, 1:59 pm

Amazing Eva, you are a natural in front of the camera and that is a gorgeous card!
