Patterned Paper Die Cuts3

I had new goodies to play with to help Whimsy Stamps celebrate their new release!  It's always fun to sit down and play with new stuff, and I had a vision in my head of what I wanted to do with these darling little owls.

Things don't always go as planned, though…check it out in my:

Patterned Paper Die Cuts video tutorial!

Since the watercoloring didn't work out, I was extremely happy with the turn of events when I decided to stamp on patterned paper, then die cut.

It's quick, it's easy and you can have all sorts of owls with fun different personalities if you use different patterned papers!

The “burst” stamps from the Happy Everything Whimsy Stamp set added that much needed pop of color and whimsy on the background.

What took the longest on these cards was the tying of the Baker's Twine and adding all the Dimensionals!  Other than that, these EIGHT cards came together in a jiffy!

I'm so happy to be working with Whimsy Stamps again- they hosted the 4th Birthday Bash at StampNation in January and the Sistahs were blown away by their customer care and speedy shipping.

  • Lisa K March 12, 2015, 3:29 pm

I really enjoyed the video today. I like how you showed the ideas you began with and they were not working, so you left that in and did not edit it out. I learn so much when the person shows their creative process. The cards are wonderful the way you finished.

  • janet gillen March 12, 2015, 3:38 pm

Your cards are too cute!!! Do you make cards for all the kids in the school or just Eva’s class?

  • Jennifer Hovermale March 12, 2015, 4:28 pm

My favorite new release from Whimsy has to be the Alphabet letters!!!!!!! I have no alphabet letters, or numbers, in my stamp “collection.” I am so glad that you show your “bo-bo’s” too. It shows us that even though you have been stamping for years, you still make mistakes or change up what you are doing in the middle. Sometimes I get so frustrated when I watch videos and beautiful cards are made in minutes. Thank you for being such a great demonstrator who is always inspiring me!!!!

  • Cheryl H March 12, 2015, 5:08 pm

I love that you show us your “oops” moments… and I love how easy these cards were :)
