Plaid Stamping Card Stepped Up!

plaid thank you On Monday, I shared these Plaid KISS Thank you cards- they were pretty quick and easy to make! When I was done, I wanted to keep stamping and step this card up.

stepped up thanks

I started with the same basic card as the KISS Cards, but added a fun border, some stamped confetti and a super cute present.  View today’s video to see how this card came together and my thoughts at the end about it.

My friends at StampNation offered what I expected…some of them liked the card and some thought it needed some tweaking.

I do have to say, the most important thing is that I had fun making it and Eva liked it!  (She is the one that sent it out, btw!)

I haven’t remade this card…yet…after all the Black Friday deals, I have TONS of new stamps and dies to get inky with so I haven’t pulled these goodies back out again.

Are you cross with me about that?  Can I let it go as “not my best” or should I suck it up and give it another go?  ;)

stepped up thanks2

If you all make me go back to the stamp table with this, it’s going to have to wait a while.  Why?  Let me tell you!

COMING UP:  We are about to embark on more than a solid week of pure awesomeness!  YES!

1.  I am going to the CHA Megashow.  Last year was my first and I was wound tight as a tick not knowing what to expect.  This year, I know what to expect and I’m so darned excited to spend three solid days on the floor checking out new products that are about to hit the market, doing some make and takes and meeting friends!

I’ll also be taking a Copics Class on Sunday.  I’m not a natural born colorist, so I must keep learning and working on that skill.

Want to see updates and peeks of what’s coming out in the paper crafting world?  I know you do!

Be sure to follow me on

I will be posting mainly on those platforms from the show because it’s so quick and easy.  I’ll be using #cpCHA so you can search that and find all my posts.

2.  StampNation’s Birthday Bash is just a few days away!  I have three videos coming next week on my blog.  Three videos for StampNation plus giveaways, guest designers, freebies, and of course, the Dream Team videos and projects.

Wow…it’s gonna be epic!  (perhaps I’ve been listening to my kids too much lately….lol)

So I hope you spend some time with me this week…it’s going to be a creative BLAST!

I do really like the stepped up card. Who would know that the yellow and blue and pink really do go together. Maybe the think you don’t care for is the present with the word THANKS. Maybe BIRTHDAY would be more apropos. Of course the sparkle on the pink is fabulous. I haven’t much luck doing KISS cards… Thanks for experimenting.

I think it needs some bling. Maybe one on the present and in the pink things you didn’t know what to call them…. I like the card. Love that border die!

I LOVE this card design. I know why, too. Lol As a new cardmaker, I tend to get really mucky…really fast. Lol I love embellishments and need to learn when to stop!! This KISS card is a wonderful, visual reminder of how lovely a simple card and sentiment can be. Thanks a mill. I am loving this site and appreciate so much the help. :-)
