Masked, Stencils and Watercolored Holly Christmas Card

Today’s video is a Take 2!  I am not a perfectionist – well….I think some of my friends would completely disagree with that!!!  So really, I guess it depends on what it is.  When it comes to videos, I am not.  I stamp and film and edit and go with what I get.  And that’s it!

It’s rare that I re-do a video and this one I did…view it to see why.

I tried two different types of cardstock with the same technique using Distress Ink Pads…they reacted a bit differently.  Watch for my upcoming video- I will take four different types of cardstock and show you how they react using this technique so you can see for yourself and decide which one you like the best!

Lots going on here…watercoloring, masking, coloring your cardstock with an ink pad and heat embossing.  Hope you enjoy the look and are inspired to get stamping your own holiday cards!

Speaking of Holiday cards, don’t miss out on the BONUS PDF Download that is only available through Thursday of this week when you sign up for A Very Trendy Holiday 2.0 online class.

Look at what Maggie has to say about this class:

“As always, you and your team have outdone yourselves!! I love the metallic look on all of the cards, but the Guilded Christmas card especially speaks to me. The simplicity of this card is absolutely stunning.  Thanks again for great work!”
See you in the classroom!

These are beautiful, Catherine! So pretty. I love these sentiments. Hmm, think I need to add them to my collection. :)

Thank you Catherine. Both cards were beautiful and it was fun to see you work on the different papers and add your comments. Inspiration!!!

Both these are awesome! Love the watercolour backgrounds and the holly looks fabulous. The sequins add a lovely subtle bling – gorgeous xxx

LOVE both of them! You’ve inspired me to get inky.

Both of these cards are lovely, but I prefer the 2nd card design. I really like the die cut layered over top of everything else and a bit off the card. Thanks for taking the time tomake this video!
