Did you know it’s National Coffee Day?  Yep!  it sure is!

To celebrate, I’m participating in the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  You can join in, too!  My friend, Chaitali from Cuts, Crops & Creativity is hosting.  I’ll give you all the deets in a minute, but first I wanted to share my card with you today.

I had an absolute blast making this card using the Double Inked Letterpress technique.  Have you see it before?  It’s such a fun way to use your embossing folders – c’mon, fess up, how many do you have?? – in a new way.  The result is the great design from your folder embossed into the paper and “highlighted” in two different ink colors.

Pretty cool, right?

Please watch the video to see how it was done!

btw- if you watched the whole video, the answer is FIREBALLS!

The Double Inked Embossing tutorials is fun and it’s easy.  I hope you will try it out yourself!

Great tutorial Catherine. I love the colours you have used. I will definitely be giving this one a go, I can see lots of potential with this technique.
I quite like a mocha, but my favourite drink would have to be a chai tea with vanilla soy milk.

The only way to enjoy coffee is strong, and black! And your card is beautiful!

  • Trish October 8, 2014, 8:05 am

If the embossing dauber smells like fireballs, I want some -yum! I know I am in the minority, but I love my tea, hot, cold or in between- I love it! So I would use that wonderful cup, with a tea bag hanging from it!
Thanks Catherine for a great video- I will use that double inked embossing technique!

  • Sandi October 8, 2014, 11:06 am

Love coffee only when my son makes it. He uses an espresso machine and then adds milk and ice. AWESOME taste. But I still want a coke in the a.m.

  • Lynn Kendall October 8, 2014, 7:20 pm

Currently my favorite coffee is chocolate strawberry from Berry’s coffee company. With a little fat free cream and a package of Splenda. Delish! What’s yours? I loved your two color coffee background. You always come up with such great ideas Catherine.
