Stars in a line – Card Making Video Tutorial

altenew stars2

A few months ago as I was perusing Facebook, I saw the news that a brand new stamping company was taking the world by storm!   and it was called what????

Pretty cool name by a couple of pretty cool chicks…Tasnim Ahmed and Jennifer Rzasa who are very well known and well respected paper crafters in the internet world.

I have watched their new little company grow and blossom as they sell out of their stock, restock and sell out again.  It’s amazing and I send giant congratulations their way!

Their designs are fresh, fun and really unique.  Be sure to check them out and tell them I sent ya!

The best news I have for you today is that Altenew is sponsoring the Dream Team at StampNation this week and the entire DT is showcasing their super cool stamps and one lucky SN member will win her choice of TWO Altenew stamp sets!  Pretty darned cool, eh?

I got my hot little hands on a couple of these sets and here is the first video of several that I’ve done:

oh my goodness!  I am LOVIN’ this color palette, my friends!

Here’s a little peek at the Dream Team samples up on StampNation TODAY for our challenge based on Altenew’s fresh fun designs.

NOTE:  You do NOT have to use an Altenew stamp set to participate in the SN Challenge…but you just might WIN two if you do!  :)  Awesome, right?

Here is a peek at the awesomeness from the DT – not a member yet?

We are one big, happy family at StampNation focuse on having fun and growing as paper crafters.

Here is what Lynn says about it:  “I have grown as a paper crafter since joining SN. The biggest way is realizing I don’t have to have the exact stamps or by the company that some one used in a tutorial, I can usually find something in my stash of stamps. Which to me is quite a big deal as almost 2 years ago, I could not have done that.”

We hope to see YOU as our next Sistah!

Absolutely adorable great colors and those stamps from altenew are the best.

Awhile back I would absolutely use a pencil to mark the line but with photopolymer stamps I now go without. So much easier! Love your card!)

Luv it; and I have that Lil Inker set and just realized the largest only “stitches” and doesn’t cut. Thanks !

Wow, it’s been quite a journey since you sponsored us on Card Patterns years ago! I thought I recognized your name when I saw it on the Altenew blog and had to stop by to see if it was you. Couldn’t believe my surprise when I realized it was! Congrats on your latest venture!

That WAS a long time ago! Thank you so much for popping in to say hi!!!

Hi Catherine, I am new to watching your tutorials, on your site and this one (SN). I am gaining confidence to use stamps. I have always smudged them or not inked them enough, and gave up. THe stars across the topper with “hi” on it, is really cute. I would have just winged it in placing the stars, it would look handmade, and very original that way. (for me at least) For now I will practice some of your tutorials and see if I can adjust to this medium. Thank you for your cheery confident tutorials. As a retired old lady, I like to create the cards, for my family. You are helping me. Regards, Dorothy.

I loved the video and I would have not used a ruler and here’s why. I cannot draw a straight line with a ruler, no lie. No matter what I try I cannot get anything straight. I did buy the Misti and I have to admit I love it!!! The stamps by Altenew would have been easier to use and I love the designs. Thanks for sharing. Linny
