Dazzling Divas Challenge #1 with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Thank you for joining me for the Dazzling Diva’s Challenge #10!  This week is “Anything Goes” with a photo inspiration.

You can see the DT samples and play around by clicking here.

I took my inspiration from the brushed metal look and had a ball making this card.

I’ve been doing a lot of Inlaid Die Cutting lately and thought it would be super fun to try with with Metal Sheets!

CHALLENGE #10 ANYTHING GOES (JAN 29)

Let’s take a look at how the tag came together with Inlaid Die Cutting.

Dazzling Divas Challenge #1 with CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Start with the Funky Square Tag Fri-Dies from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.  You can see a video tutorial I did last week with the same dies on a very Clean and Simple Card – click here to see it.

Cut the tag and the funky embellishment at the same time by lining them up on the Big Shot as shown.

I used Ocean Blue Metal Sheets here for the photo tutorial and the dies cut right through like butter!

Cut an extra tag and funky embellishment and run the blue tag through the Big Shot with an embossing folder to give it some fun texture.

Use a sanding block to rub over the embossed metal tag.  This will remove the color from the raised parts of the tag to create a two-tone tag.

Add Liquid Glue, or Sticky Strip to the back of the tag and adhere to the white tag.

Then, add Liquid Glue to where the funky embellishment was cut out, flip the funky embellishment over to show the silver side and fit it into the spot on the tag.

Inlaid Die Cutting!

For today’s card, I cut off the top of the tag to make a rounded square.   I wanted a ton of texture on this card…and I think I achieved it!
