Very Trendy Collage-2

Earlier this year, I started working on a new website where I could hold Online Classes – it’s called Creativity Grows Here.

Over the course of this year, well…first of all, I’ve been a busy with lots of different, fun projects.  Second of all, I wasn’t exactly sure what my classes would be like and I didn’t want to start something until I was sure how it would fit into my business and be a great benefit to my stamping friends.

I wanted them to be DIFFERENT from anything else I offer.  Different from StampNation, Definitely Sketches and Simply WOW!

I’ve been working very hard on my first Online Class and what I have created, quite frankly, I’m thrilled with!

With a little help from my friends (namely Maureen!), I have put together a great class for you…it’s the first of what I plan to be a regular offering for you!

How are these different?  Well, each class will have a theme.  All the projects and videos and tutorials inside each classroom will (obviously) go with the theme.  Think of it like a neat little package all tied up with a bow.

This first class, A Very Trendy Holiday, is fun, it’s eye catching, it’s inspiring and you will learn a TON of great stuff from it!  You’re going to want to register right away (bonus content for those of you that do by Friday!).

** I’m giving away TWO FREE class registrations!  Simply leave me a comment here by Friday, October 25 at 6 pm and let me know what your favorite paper crafting trend is right now.**

If you win and you’ve already purchased the class, your class fee will be refunded.

No go on!  Click through to see what this class is all about!  I think you’ll love it!

Before I go, I wanted to share this fun comment I got from Vi:

“This class is wowwwwwwww!!!!! Ooops! ‘scuse me a sec as I mop up the drool before it fries my keyboard!!  Well done Catherine!  Now I just have to decide which one I want to make!!!”

LOL, Vi!  I’m glad you like it! :)

I had the most unexpected day yesterday.  I was set to release this class at 1:00 EST.

Right around 10 am, I released it early to StampNation Members and I am glad I did!  We experienced a glitch in the regstration process and I spent the next 12 hours glued to my computer setting up and activating accounts on the class site.

The registration process is mostly ironed out at this point, but there is one important point to know:  Once you pay, you will then set up your user account.  Within the hour, you will get an email with a link to complete your registration.

If you have ants in your pants (like I would!!), and don’t want to wait to get in the classroom, EMAIL ME YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD.  I can manually activate your account.

Thank you to all that have registered, everyone was so sweet and kind to me while we worked to figure out what was happening.  I am blessed by the amazing women that choose to paper craft with me.

I am just back in from a lovely night out with friends but had to get my comment in on time I hope, I have looked at this site Catherine, as normal, fabulous stuff, so glad I joined in on this wonderful Xmas Event. You have surpassed yourself with this offer.

I think one of my favorite trends at the moment your neat ideas on the DS, you have a variety of great ideas! So creative ! Joan M.

  • Amy Seigler October 25, 2013, 12:26 pm

I think one of my favorite trends right now is using glitter and vellum paper to add that extra pop to my projects.

  • Mary Laffin October 25, 2013, 12:38 pm

Haven’t had time to look at everything yet (work keeps getting in the way). But I love what I’ve seen so far and can’t wait to see the rest and then try and make a decision on where to start. My favorite things are those that you just don’t see everyday and makes people wonder how you did that. I love using vellum and the window sheets.

  • Allie October 25, 2013, 1:02 pm

As of right now I am lovin’ washi tape and would really like to get into cardmaking :)

  • Jan October 25, 2013, 1:09 pm

I am so excited to have joined Stamp Nation today and I am looking forward to the Holday card class. My favorite thing right now is anything DISTRESS. I just finished taking a Tim Holtz class and am amazed with the new distressed paints. Thanks for the opportunity to win a complimentary pass to the Holiday Card Class.

  • Barbara V October 25, 2013, 1:12 pm

I find I can hardly make a card without using the Big Shot for either embossing or shape cutting. Can’t believe I resisted that thing for so long!

  • Alma Dirpaul October 25, 2013, 1:21 pm

My favorite trend right now is using die cuts on my Cuttlebug. Makes such beautiful focal points on cards.

  • Ruth Paul October 25, 2013, 1:44 pm

My favorite papercraft trend right now is mini albums and little gift boxes. I love watching all of your videos…you have great tips and ideas!

  • Tina Shelton October 25, 2013, 1:52 pm

I love all the trends right now but loving all the metallic papers and shiny glittery paper! I haven’t done much with the Washi tape but I got some to try out (soon,I hope)

Love using non-traditional colors for Christmas cards! Some are so striking without coming anywhere near red and green!

  • Kimberly October 25, 2013, 4:11 pm

I seem to be addicted to watching cardmaking videos! I am new to Stampin Up, so I am loving all the new trends-using all my new products is so fun!

  • Marion Evans October 25, 2013, 4:57 pm

Wow Catherine. If your online classes are anything like your stampnation or YouTube videos then I know I’ll be in for a treat!

  • Sunshine October 25, 2013, 5:26 pm

My favorite trend, if it is one, would be pop-up/out cards. Love the nontraditional cards. Sparky, but not overly done.

  • Marion Evans October 25, 2013, 5:40 pm

My favourite trending item in papercrafts at present is my stampin up envelope maker! I just love it! I’ve created many matching envelopes for my cards but have also used it to make little boxes! It’s just so versatile! I love it!

  • Lurdez October 25, 2013, 6:34 pm

  • Bobbie Wendt-Machek October 25, 2013, 8:11 pm

I am looking for a great Christmas Card idea for this year. Stampin up is great and I love washi tape. The card will have to have that on it. I just joined Stamp Nation but haven’t had a lot of time to look around yet. Keep up all the inspiration stamping. I can’t get enough!

  • Deborah Long October 25, 2013, 8:32 pm

I am still loving hexagons! I know it’s not the most recent trend, but I love them.

You have done it and worth the wait! A great Class on line by a pretty great gal!!! Well done! Can’t wait for more. Thanks for taking time to think about all of us that need that extra boost to make those wonderful cards.

  • Bonnie Lange October 25, 2013, 9:22 pm

Was so excited I forgot to say what I love right now in trends. I love the new envelope board and anything to do with the Framelits.

  • Assel October 26, 2013, 5:50 am

I love gold embossing powder on dark cardstock. And also I am in love with shevrons

  • Mary October 26, 2013, 5:32 pm

Hi, Catherine! I am ready to join Stampnation and was interested in your class, etc., but have been unable to join and now I’ve missed the deadline. I have tried to click on the ‘join now’ button but it does not connect. Any advice? Do I need a specific browser? I have enjoyed what I’ve seen so far and feel a renewed interest in my stamping. Made a Halloween side-step card yesterday I am so proud of. I giggle when I see it and am having trouble putting it into an envelope (made with halloween paper and my new envelope punch board!) and mailing it to my grandson! Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • Catherine October 26, 2013, 5:39 pm

Hi Mary! Thank you so much for your lovely comment on my blog!
You haven’t missed a deadline, so you are good to go! You said one of the Join Now buttons isn’t working…which one is it?
    I’m glad to help!

  • Bev Karolak October 26, 2013, 11:28 pm

I love anything that has glitter on it at the moment! :)
