Birthday Candy Bar

Randall always pokes fun at me because when MY birthday rolls around, I “celebrate” for the whole week.  Well, why wouldn’t I?

I fire back with, “I celebrate it..yes, but that doesn’t me YOU have to celebrate it!  And I encourage YOU to celebrate YOUR birthday for a whole week, too!”

I celebrate my birthday by doing things that make me happy – all week long.  I may watch a movie during the day, treat myself to Starbucks, go out to lunch once or twice (or more)…stuff like that.

Randall’s birthday was on Saturday.  He left work early on Friday and we all went to the State Fair (which he LOVES).  Yesterday,  he spent time with his mom, Anna baked him a cake and we gave him presents….then this morning, I told him Happy Birthday to continue the celebration.

Right now, he’s cleaning out the garage.  Doesn’t sound like a very “birthday” thing to do, but he’s stoked about having a cleaned up garage!  lol!

Birthday Candy Bar2

Part of his present was this wrapped candy bar (coconut, his favorite).  I just wrapped a bit of Designer Paper around the candy bar, added a band of Night of Navy embossed cardstock around it, tied some burlap (because it’s so IN right now!) and added a tag from the Chalk Talk Stamp Set and Framelits.

Sooooo….do YOU celebrate YOUR birthday for one day or more?  Leave me a comment and let me know!

My daughter has signed up at a ton of different places that give her something, for her birthday. So for the whole week of her birthday she goes out to lunch every day, plus picks up different things like her favorite candy, and just little gifts. She loves it and like you celebrates all week long. I like the way you wrap up Randle’s candy, to bad he has to open it!

Yes we do! All week long at our house the birthday girl/boy gets to have his/her favorite meals, chooses what the family will watch and, if it is a kid, gets to have a break from doing their daily chores. Pretty sweet deal. For me personally I do some of the same things you do. I do something each day that I normally wouldn’t to treat or pamper myself. Get a pedicure. Watch a movie. Have a jammie day and not leave the house. etc. Happy Birthday Randall!!! I’ll be CASEing this idea for Scott’s birthday at the end of the month and I think he will thank you for it!

I actually celebrate my birth MONTH! I know it sounds terrible, but I really do. For me, it’s truly a fun month, full of all my favorite things. :)
