Since I took the Copic Instructor Certification course this spring, I haven’t had as much time to practice as I would like. I learned the basics and theory and had practice time in the class, but I know I need a lot more time to just sit and practice. oh, and I need more markers! LOL!
When I actually just sit and color, I enjoy it so much!
One thing I’m “struggling” with is color coordination. Until this year, I have been a 100% Stampin’ Up gal. But recently I’ve branched out. It’s easy to incorporate stamps and dies and embellishments from other companies in with my SU stuff…but inks? That’s another story. One thing that I (and many people!) LOVE about SU is the color coordination….the paper, the inks, the ribbons, etc…all MATCH! Easy peasy!
So, branching out into copics throws a little wrench in there for me.
The color of the flower here looks more like Lovely Lilac to me. Anyone remember that SU color?
And the green, I thought would look great with Green Galore. Remember that one, too?
SU doesn’t carry those colors anymore, so I went with Black and Rich Razzleberry. Sending this card to a non-stamper would be fabulous (just like the card says!)….the colors not matching just so, would not be noticed.
But to the trained eye….it might be….so, all of you SU gals out there, you can guarantee that I will NOT be sending this card to YOU! hahaha!
