Simply Sketched Hostess Set

This is what you get when you play with Circle Framelits!!!  Talk about excited when I saw them in the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog!

The frame on the front of this card was easy to do…just use a Circle Framelit to punch a window through the 4 x 5-1/4″.  Take that framelit and the one step larger framelit and cut a ring out of patterned paper (or even solid cardstock…that would work, too!).

The ring was adhered to the card with 2 Way Glue.  The flower, grid and sentiment were stamped on a larger piece of white cardstock and adhered to the card base.  The layer with the window was adhered with dimensionals to the card base.

I enjoyed coloring this in with my Copic Markers, the small flowers are great for me since I’m still praciticing and getting comfortable.

You can also color these in beautifully with Blender Pens or Aquapainters and Ink Pads.

It’s been a hot mess in my house with five kiddos and mixed media art from one end of the house to the other!  Wanna see what the kids have been doing?  LOL, I will share later in the week.  It’s awesome, but I’m starting to get this uncontrollable neck twitch thing going on with all the paper and scraps and paintbrushes and paints all over the place!  yikes!

Thanks for visiting today, have a wonderful day!
