Splattered and Sponged with Dreamy Stamp Penny Black

Of all the cards I made for the Summer Kick off Party at StampNation, this is my very favorite.  I decided to share it here because I love it and because some of the members wanted to pin it on Pinterest.  Thank you for pinning! :)

I started with a white piece of cardstock and a piece of computer paper.  I cut a 2″ circle in the computer paper, used the negative to mask and sponged the sun.

I then used the cut out circle and placed it over the sun to mask it while I sponged the blue background.  I dipped a paintbrush in water and tapped it to make splatters and droplets on the image.  Since the ink is waterbased, it gets washed out when wet which creates an amazing background!

I hope you enjoy this card and if you would like to see the entire video on how I made it and my thought process, the video is available on StampNation.  We hope you will join us!
