SparkleSponged

I’m glad you popped in today because I have some SERIOUS eye candy for you!  I really meant to post this a week or so ago, but this and that got in the way.  So here we are, the beginning of June and this is from one of the May challenges at StampNation.

Did you know there are over 100 challenges at StampNation to spark your creativity?  One unique thing about our challenges is that they never close…NEVER…and a new one is added every single week.

Maureen is our Challenge and Design Team coordinator and here is what she has to say about this one:

It’s been a while since I posted one of my challenge cards from StampNation.  This is my favorite from May!  It was made for a “Sparkled & Sponged” challenge.  It is SO glittery in real life!!  I wish I could capture that in my photo.

Have you ever tried the Faux Diamonds Technique?  It’s really easy.  You know I’m not much of a technique junkie & I don’t like to take out too many supplies or get dirty, so this is right up my alley :) You start by stamping your images and then in this case I sponged next.  Then press your paper into a versamark pad, covering it completely with ink and then cover it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.  Heat set and you are done.”

Stamps:  Summer Silhouettes (SU!) Defining Words (Wplus9), Pleasant Poppies (MFT)
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Soft Suede (SU!) True Black (PTI)
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black (SU!)
Accessories:  Blueprints 1 (MFT) Button Twine (PTI), Brad (SU!)

I am Maureen’s biggest fan and when you hop over to her blog and join us as a member of StampNation, you will see why!

P.S. stay tuned…something big is coming to StampNation!  Tons of fun and MAJOR inspiration is coming your way.  Details coming very soon…
