A card with a whole lot of stamps on it! Collage Style Rubber Stamping

Vintage Verses Stampin' up

How many stamp sets can you use on one card?   This one uses four and would you guess I stamped the base about 10 times before I got it “right”?

When making “collage style” cards and backgrounds, it’s easy to pull stamps from many different sets to use together.  It’s also easy to have to stamp it several times before getting it just the way you want it.

Here is the stamp that I used for the fun swirl background…you see, the circle and Decorative Label Punch I used are bigger than the stamp.  So, stamping the swirly stamp twice gave me swirls above and below the label…but getting that just right took some time!

The image in blue comes from the World Treasures stamp set and that gave me fits, too.  Getting it straight, making it go across the whole card and reaching to where the punched piece was a challenge.  Success is much sweeter when there is a challenge, though, right?

In fact, I just heard my 10 year old exclaim “YES!  I did it!!  WHAT now!!???”  I wish you could have heard her.  She dripped RED JUICE (yes, I warned her) on her WHITE skirt and is upstairs washing it out.  I guess she succeeded!

ok, back to the stamping.  I also used the Collage Curios Stamp set for some fun background stamping.  The color spritzer tool (TUTORIAL HERE FOR STAMPNATION MEMBERS) added some fun interest to the background as well.
