Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper for Birthday Card Making!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!  Anna had the day off of school, so we got to spend the day together which was great!  It’s always wonderful to get one-on-one time with my girls.  For Halloween costumes, we ended up having a Wizard, a Witch and a Masquerade Ball Princess (making good use of last year’s dance costume!).  The kids had a ball, as usual and we’ve got loads of candy.

Now that Halloween is over, you might be wondering what you are going to do with the leftovers of the Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper.  How about a fun, funky birthday card?!

I punched out 4 shapes from the Apothecary Accents Framliets and added them to the bottom of the card.  Two Flower Fancy Punches, textured with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, sponged and layered on top of each other gave this card the pop it needed.  One black, glittered flower from the Bojo Blossoms Punch was used for the center.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and are inspired to use up your holiday papers on non-holiday cards!

Looks great but I thought it was a Poppy for Remembrance Day.

Donna, I have heard of Remembrance Day…I looked it up:
Every year, on 11 November at 11 am – the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – we pause to remember those men and women who have died or suffered in all wars, conflicts and peace operations.

Wow, this absolutely CAN be for Remembrance Day! Thank you!
