Q & A: What do you do with the inside of your cards?

Hey, friends!  I wanted to share with you a question that I got last week.  Rosalie asked what do I do with the inside of my cards?

I think this is a GREAT question and one I’ve heard before!

Answer:  Well, usually I leave them blank.  I might stamp a greeting inside and write a note.  If you want the inside to coordinate with the outside and really polish off your card, you can put a 4 x 5-1/4" piece of cardstock inside and stamp a coordinating image and/or put a small strip of DSP towards the bottom.

I do have some videos and cards that show the inside.

What about you?  Do you leave them blank or do you fancy up your insides??

I prefer to fancy them up, but I do some of both. If my card base is very dark colored, then I adhere a 4″ by 5.25″ piece of Very Vanilla or Whisper White card stock inside. I love to stamp up the insides with a greeting and/or the smaller stamps in a coordinating set!!

Hello Jennifer! I do the same thing lots of times, especially when I have a dark cardstock base. Thanks for your comment!

I almost always do the inside, add a cream/white piece of card stock, co-ordinating stamp and a little of the designer paper. Finishes the card off nicely I think.

I always stamp the inside card liner with some of the same images/colors used on the card front, and perhaps a strip of DSP. When I want to have a lot of cards ready for last minute needs, I stamp something generic on the front such as “thinking of you” or “just for you.” Then when I need a card fast, I finish it off with an appropriate greeting on the inside. I always stamp on the envelope too or emboss the flap. People always comment on those special touches when they receive them.
