Strike a Pose!

Alana seems to know no other pose, but this one!  I think in every single photo from this weekend, she’s sporting the peace sign!  LOL!

We bought the fun card for Busch Gardens which gives us unlimited visits through September 3rd, so we just returned from our second trip there this season.   We spent a long weekend there in May, then went back this weekend with our dear friends, the Newtons, who we’ve known since Anna was 18 months old.  We had a blast!

While we were at the park, I was thinking about the photos I was taking and the scrapbook pages they might end up on…in my past scrapbooking life, I would have been taking a ton of photos and envisioning the layout I would make to document our visit.

My "old" way would have included a big "Busch Gardens" title, some fun papers and embellishments and tons of photos.

That’s all well and good, BUT if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, or even purchased my book you know I don’t scrap that way anymore.

So, as we enjoyed our weekend, I just took some fun photos and really had no idea what kind of layouts they’d end up on.  Then,I had a thought last night as Randall and I laughed about squeezing the life out of our park passes while at the same time, truly our wallets were getting the life squeezed out of them!

That’s when layout idea came to me!

I plan to document this trip, this snapshot in time, and a bit about our money values on a page about how much MONEY we’ve spent this summer going to Busch Gardens, why we decided to spend money this way and the cherished memories will now have from the trip.  What a great page this will be 20 years from now for us to look back on how much things cost and what we value.

Stay tuned, I will probably do a video tutorial on this for StampNation!

Have a wonderful Tuesday, dear friends!

  1. Those girls are adorable! They remind me of my Madison, who uses that pose (the peace sign) frequently when I try to snap a picture of her. :) I know you had a blast at BG! Cannot wait to see a tutorial over at SN. :) TFS!
