I love your blog! I watch your you tube channel, follow your blog and love getting inspired by your ideas. I would love to buy the book. My biggest challenge is making time for scrapbooking and then whe I do to stay on trick to finish one project at a time. I always have more than one project going.

  2. My biggest scrapbooking challenge is time! I think if I were better able to sort my pics and scrapbooking items then I wouldn’t feel so overwhelmed. Thanks for all of your inspiration!

  3. Kimberly says:

Catherine, I can’t believe I have not purchased your book yet!!! :o ( This being out of town has really put me behind!! Still trying to get caught up on SN with all the new posts.

My biggest challenge with scrapbooking is feeling like I need to scrap every single thing in our lives, and not only that, but wanting a ton of pictures for each event. I am also so far behind because I didn’t start scraping until 2004 so I have lots of years to catch up on.

Thanks for all you do for us,

    Kimberly

My biggest challenge is TIME! I feel like I’m so far behind that I don’t even know where to start. I have 4 boys and have only started on the oldest ones book. I actually sold scrapbooking stuff before having kids and NEED to get going on these!

  5. Kristie says:

I have your book and LOVE it! I love that you have taught me that the story is the most important part of scrapbooking and I have noticed that in pages that I have seen online that only have pictures and no story to go with it. I just want to share with them your book and let them know that the story is the most important. Also, I am not a scrapbooker, I have always found it to be too challenging for me but reading your book has helped me quite a bit and taken some of the challenges away. So thank you again! Looking forward to seeing what you have for us on StampNation too! :)

I don’t have your book, but am seriously thinking of getting it–winning it would be even better! I’ve been a scrapper for almost 15 years, and my biggest challenges is finding new ways to present my stories. I have 7 grandkids and I really want to leave them lots of stories because I’ve been trying to trace my own family history and could “kick” myself for not getting info from my grandparents and my parents (and respective families) who are all now deceased.

  7. Shelley G says:

My biggest scrapbooking challenge is where to begin. I don’t know even where to start. I had started scrapbooking mny years ago when my Daughter was younger. I then took too many pictures, and got so far behind, before you know it, months turned into years. I haven’t clue even where to begin!

  8. Barb Ghigliotty says:

    Hi Catherine,
Thank you so much for a chance to win a copy of your e-Book! It’s so generous of you!
The most challenging thing for me with my scrapbooking, is journaling. If I don’t have time when I complete a page, I stick a post-it in the sleeve with my thoughts and any important info, and go back later. I agree with you, that it can be very frustrating to look at old photos of my family, and not know when, where, who…etc. and I don’t want to do that to my children/grandchildren.
As always, your blog and videos are very inspiring…thanks so much for taking the time to share your ideas and amazing talent with us! I’m looking forward to NSD ~ Have a great day!

  9. Catherine, I don’t have your book yet, but I watch your you tube channel, follow your blog and love getting inspired by your ideas.

  10. Laura Hernandez says:

Like many others have stated, my biggest frustration with scrapbooking is finding the time. Switching to digital seemed to help that a bit as I no longer need to drag out or put away supplies. But it’s still a major frustration!
Best of luck with your book – would love to get one.

  11. Jennifer Reynard says:

First of all, wanted to say that I just love your creations! Thank you for sharing your talent so freely! :)
My biggest challenge for scrapbooking is definitely the title/and or journalling. My husband says I journal like someone in grade one, very, very basic. Would like to be able to put more feeling into it somehow. Would be super super pleased to win a copy of your book! I could use some help! :)

  12. Ir3ene H says:

For scrapbooking, my biggest problem is that I’m so worried about doing it badly, not artistic looking enoough…. …having it looked at by others and coming up short… “Oh, Irene, so that’s what you’ve been working on all this time? Interesting…”. I’m only just starting out in scrapbooking, so there’s a lot to learn and I want so much to do it right and have it look good. It’s a block, sometimes, to have this perfection feeling.

  13. Amy Stewart says:

My challenge with scrapbooking is the fact that my children are already 14 and 11 years old. I have so many pictures and some aren’t digital either! Sometimes I wonder where to start. I also would like to learn more about telling the story. Thanks for the chance to win our book. It looks like the perfect fit for me:)

  14. My biggest challenge for scrapbooking is finding the time to do so. I’ve got my pictures or other items ready but never go to that pile to start a page. Thanks for the chance to win :)

  15. My biggest challenge is just keeping up with all the events & happenings.. :)
I’m not doing to bad, but there is also a ton on my to do list.
    thanks

  16. OMG you have hit on my hardest part of scrapbooking. I know what I want to say but do not know how to minimize it. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of your book!!

  17. What a great way to get into scrapbooking!

  18. YIKES! 17 responses so far! I went out for a bit this morning and feel like I missed the party. :) I have the book and love it! I have been scrapbooking for years and thought I had to scrapbook every single photo. I love the feeling of empowerment that I have now after reading just the first pages in that I do not have to scrapbook every photo or do so in chronological order. I have started just getting my stories down because to me that truly is just as important or more so than the photos. I am so thankful for you and for Stamp Nation. So excited to see what the next two weeks brings. Thank you for all you do for us!! :)

  19. Cynthia says:

Hi! My biggest challenge to scrapbooking is I just started and I have so many years to go. I’ve decided not to do the photos chronologically, instead I’m focusing on the pictures and stories. Later, when I’m more caught up, I can rearrange pages into a sensible order. I may end up dividing all the photos amongst our 3 kids into their own family history/story type album. So much to do, so little done. Thanks for the ideas and the direction

  20. Ginger G says:

Hi Catherine, Yes I purchased your book already & have found the aspect of pages or pictures NOT being in chronological order very freeing! I can t wait to get into the book further. Thanks for the chance. I have a friend with the obsession of “everything in order”. I would love to gift it to her for Mother s Day!

  21. I did a scrapbook for my brother about his trip to Ireland and it took me three months because I wanted it to be special, and it turned out wonderful, but holy moly who has that kind of time to scrapbook now a days!! I have been married 42 years, have three children and eight grandchildren so I really need to whittle down my endeavors!!! My biggest challenge is going thru the last 42 years of my life in pictures and put together a book for each one to have. This seems to me to be a large large project. So when I get ready, finally, I am hoping your book will lead the way!!!!! Thank-you for your dedication and hard work i putting this together.

  22. debbie essay says:

I am sooo behind in scrapping. I’ve only completed 4 books. I have 30 years of pics of my grown kids that really need to be shared in scrapbook form. I don’t know where to begin. I struggled with the 4 books that I did finish….and really didn’t like the outcome.
I would love to learn to enjoy scrapbooking.
thanks for the chance to win your book.
    hugs,

  23. A chance to win your book is an opportunity I won’t pass up! My biggest challenge is picking papers and then trying not to be completely symmetrical with my design.

  24. Rebecca King says:

I mostly make cards but would love to get into scrapbooking. I just feel overwhelmed & can’t seem to find a place to start. Love your Blog. Would love to win your book.

  25. Mary Reinecke says:

Wow !! I would love to win your book !! It would be just what I need to get started scrapbooking. I’ve never made a scrapbook, it seems intimidating but I’m sure with your tutorial and instructions I could do a bang up job. I love your blog and videos. They give me so much inspiration. Thanks for all you do !!

  26. OH MY GOSH… I NEED, and I mean NEED this book…

    Thank you for the opportunity.

    Love your videos.
    Mary

  27. Oh my! I have been on a scrapbooking hold, impass you might say, since 2006. I have gotten things out to work on since then, left them out until they got dusty and put them away again. The only things I have accomplished was to finish a career album for me (mostly done anyway) and add portraits every year to the family portrait album. I need to get out of my rut (whatever it is) and get moving! I love your videos and would love your book!

  28. Thanks for a chance to win a copy of your book. My biggest challenge is layout. I never know how to tie it together. Thanks for your wonderful creativity that you share with us. Blessings

  29. Theresa says:

I agree with some other folks that finding the time to spend on scrap booking is my biggest problem!

  30. Angela says:

My biggest challenge is finding the time/room and getting organized. I would love to have scrapbooking introduced to me when I was a stay at home mom. Now back at work its difficult.
I would love the chance to win your book!
Thank you for sharing your talents!!!

  31. I appreciate the daily emails and the samples. THANK YOU!. With my scrapbooking, I don’t mind doing the storytelling but I hate my handwriting…. so I painstakingly print up the words on paper then have to affix that to my page. I think I need to get over that… I have several pages done and have the “story” to add to it…. but alas – haven’t made it to the computer to get it printed out!

  32. heather says:

My biggest challenge is feeling creative and proud of my end result. Probably because I’m a new paper scrapper who came from digiscrapping. In digi, if I messed up, I could simply hit the undo button. In paper scrapping, if I mess up, sometimes there is no way to undo it, and I have to make the best of it or start all over.
