Hey, Stampers! I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! I just returned home from my downline meeting with my SUpreme Stampers (we call it the SUpreme Soiree!) a couple hours ago and I’m working on some special things for my group. If you are a member of my downline, be on the lookout! Some great stuff is coming your way from the Soiree today. Check back this week as I share samples and fun from the event.
I told you the other day that I made 2 cards for my hubby this week…the first card I made for him and inside it says, “Thanks for working like a dog to put the fence back up!”
A couple years ago we had to take part of it down, and he just put it back up. Now Kenly has the run of the yard. Look how happy this sweet boy is!
I used Kraft Cardstock, Close to Cocoa and Real Red Ink, Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, D is for Dog Stamp Set, Family Phrases Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write Marker and Hemp Twine for this card. The designer series paper is from last year and is now retired.
And the second card…it’s not often I have to send an I’m sorry card…this week called for one.
Scenario: It’s 5:30. Swim practice begins at 5:45. 3 kids. 3 bathing suits. 3 towels. 3 pairs of googles. 3 pairs of flip flops. 3 bathing suit cover ups. Mommy’s drink. Remnants of dinner flying around the kitchen. Daddy comes home. Kenly’s barking. Kenly escapes the house. Kids load in the car. Mommy backs up. Right into daddy’s car.
The damage isn’t horrible, but the enought to need a trip to the shop. ugh! I hate it when that happens!
The occasion called for a really cool card. I was cracking myself up over this card…not the situation. the card. Notice the back of the car? I tore it off and scrunched it all up to make it look like Randall’s car.
I used the new Square Lattice Impressions Embossing Folder, Chocolate Chip ink and cardstock, Black cardstock, Encore Silver Ink pad, Circle Designer Brads, Chocolate Chip Striped Ribbon, In a Word Stamp Set (mini catalog).
This is the second time I’ve shown you a card with this embossing technique, so I’ll film a video this week and share it for Stampers’ Q&A at the end of the week! Stayed tuned and have a terrific weekend!
Remember the retiring colors! Stampin’ Up has announced that they WILL run out of some colors. I recommend placing your order by May 31 to avoid disappointment. Many of the colors will still be available in June, but I can assure you they will run out of some colors. So place your order this week so you don’t miss out on your favorite colors.
